Training

All emergency response training is based on curricula  produced by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).   Since all classes are FEMA funded they are generally open to everybody.  You can attend classes in other communities if they are more convenient.

Also check classes in neighboring communities: Palo Alto, Sunnyvale, Los Altos, or search "CERT <your_community>" and eventbrite listings.  (Nearly every incorporated community has its own CERT program).    There are regional differences in emphasis (e.g. Earthquakes here, storms in the East)., but the core content is the same everywhere.

Some FEMA classes are also offered online.
